How entries in this encyclopedia are compiled, how we evaluate vendor sourcing, and how we maintain a strict research-use framing throughout.

How compound entries are compiled

Every entry in AminoCodex is built around three categories of information: molecular data (formula, weight, sequence, CAS identifiers where established), mechanism-of-action summaries drawn from published pharmacological and biochemical literature, and a plain-language summary of what animal, cell-culture, or in-vitro research has actually reported. We distinguish carefully between what a compound is structurally, what mechanism researchers have proposed for it, and what outcomes have been observed in published studies — collapsing those three categories into one undifferentiated claim is, in our view, the most common way peptide information degrades into hype.

We do not present in-vitro or animal-model findings as though they were established human outcomes. Where a body of literature is preclinical, we say so directly in the entry rather than letting a mechanism description imply more certainty than the underlying research supports.

Review process

Each profile is drafted with reference to the compound's structural and pharmacological literature, then reviewed against our standing editorial rules before publication: no disease-cure claims, no "safe for humans" language, no framing that could be read as a human dosing instruction. Any dosing-adjacent or reconstitution-adjacent figures that appear anywhere on this site are described as laboratory-context math or commonly referenced research parameters — never as personal-use guidance — and are always paired with a visible research-use disclaimer.

How we evaluate vendor sourcing information

AminoCodex is a reference encyclopedia first, not a marketplace, but because compound sourcing is directly relevant to research reproducibility, we maintain a short reference list of suppliers whose public catalogs overlap with our indexed compounds. We look at four things before referencing a vendor:

  • Catalog overlap. Does the vendor's published catalog actually include compounds cataloged in this encyclopedia?
  • Testing claims as stated. We report only what a vendor states publicly about purity testing or COA availability — we do not verify individual batches ourselves, and we say so.
  • Business transparency. Is there a real, identifiable business behind the storefront — a stated location, a functioning support channel, a coherent public catalog?
  • Consistency over time. Has the vendor maintained a stable public presence rather than appearing and disappearing, which is a common pattern among unreliable sellers in this space.

We do not fabricate specific lab names, COA numbers, or test dates for any vendor referenced on this site, including our top-referenced source, NextGenPeps. Where we can only speak in general terms about a vendor's positioning, that's what we publish — general and defensible, not invented precision.

Why everything here is framed as research use only

Every compound cataloged in this encyclopedia is a research chemical, not an approved human therapeutic, dietary supplement, or cosmetic. We frame every entry — molecular data, mechanism, research summary, and any handling notes — strictly in terms of laboratory research use. This isn't a legal formality we tack onto the bottom of the page; it reflects the actual state of the published evidence, which for nearly every compound cataloged here is preclinical rather than large-scale controlled human trial data. Presenting that evidence as though it supported human therapeutic claims would misrepresent the literature itself, independent of any regulatory consideration.
